RBG (2018) | Documentary Night

She was small in stature, soft-spoken, with a gentle voice — yet one of the most influential figures in modern American history.

“RBG” is a documentary portrait of a woman who changed the rules without ever raising her voice. The film traces the journey of Ruth Bader Ginsburg — from one of the few women in her law school class to a Justice of the United States Supreme Court.

In the 1950s, she was told that women did not belong in the legal profession. Despite graduating at the top of her class, she struggled to find employment. Yet it was she who began to systematically and strategically dismantle gender discrimination in the courts — step by step, case by case.

The film reveals not only the Justice in a black robe, but also a woman with a sharp sense of humor, an equal partner in a deeply supportive marriage, and a pop culture icon known as “Notorious RBG.”

“RBG” is a story of endurance and conviction. It reminds us that change does not always begin with loud revolutions — sometimes it grows from persistent, patient work. And that true strength can be quiet — yet unbreakable.
