Great Authors Series: Hemingway and Masculinity | Online Speaking Club

Ernest Hemingway is regarded as one of America's greatest ever writers. Before his death by suicide in 1961, Hemingway had written multiple classics of American literature, such as For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Sun Also Rises, and A Farewell to Arms. Like all authors, Hemingway's work has been reappraised by succeeding generations, and he has come under the most fire for his portrayals of masculinity as well as unrounded female characters. This week, we'll be discussing Ernest Hemingway, his legacy, and how his works and portrayal of masculinity have aged.
